If you're looking at the 'User Version' field in the :SHOWME output,
this value comes from a configurable field in the MISC configurator set
from within SYSGEN. The RELEASE field in :SHOWME is not configurable
and will display the base release name regardless of patch level.

The file you're probably looking for is HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS. I believe
that's how it's always been named.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Powerpatch C.55.01

Hi Listers,

I've got some kinda dumb questions here...

Some time ago we installed powerpatch C.55.01. Yet I still see C.55.00 in the
SHOWME
command. Is that to be expected ?

Also, I can't find the file SWINFO.PUB.SYS anymore. Is that file obsolete, or
superseded
by something else ? I know it existed in the past.

Thanks for any replies.
