I tried that today. The operator didn't know what a KPR is, or what Query
is. I had a hard time explaining to her what I wanted. She finally got
somebody on the phone that told me that I could use the Support Line (I
think) but didn't think I could use the ESC to get the information. When he
checked on the KPR for me, he told me that there was a patch for it and
ordered it for me.
With my application vendor, if I report a bug and they know it is important
to me, they give me the patch as soon as it is available (go QSS!!). Why
did I have to call HP to find out they had fixed the bug I had reported?
Since then I went to the Patch database at the ESC and used the KPR number
to find the patch. I wish I had thought of this earlier. It doesn't seem
real intuitive to me. There must be a better way.
