My company have moved away from individual PCs and embraced the Remote
Desktop environment.
This has led to a problem. We still have an HP3000 918 (not doing a lot but
still being used).
The Users have been using QCTerm from their PCs quite happily for a long
time but with the advent of Remote Desktop, I am having difficulty.
I'm sure Wirt never had a remote desktop system in mind when he
designed QCTerm but I was interested to see if I could get it to run in a
remote desktop environment.
I started by installing QCTerm on the Windows 2008 R2 server in Install
mode which allows programs to become available to Remote Desktop sessions.
I tested it by running it on the Server and it worked just fine.
However, when I tried to run it on a Remote Desktop session, it gave me an
error message
"Component BaseBBox.dll or one of its dependencies not correctly
registered. A file is missing or invalid. [339: Qcalc.Form_Load, QCTerm]"

To my untutored eye, this meant that the session couldn't find this
particular ,.dll file. So, I manually registered the .dll file with the
regsvr but this didn't seem to help.
As I'm fumbling around in ignorance about thes ematters, I wondered if
there was anyone else out there in HP3000-land who had actually done
something like this.
A little help here would be very appreciated as I'm not sure how to give my
users access to the HP3000 via Remote Desktop so currently, they have to
retain their PCs.
Thanks in advance
John Dunlop
