Has anyone tried this;
Using the freeware NCSA HTTPD server on MPE/iX (5.0) and setting up
basic authentication (userid/passwords via .htaccess files in directories);
#1 the htpasswd file that was distributed with the port doesn't work...
missing external...but worse than that
When we connect to the server from a Windows for Workgroups machine
running NetScape(16bit) 3.0 or 3.0 Gold - everything works as expected.
When we try to connect from various machines running Win95 and the 32bit
version of NetScape 3.0 or 3.0 Gold we get authentication errors from the
server - and never even get prompted for an id/password. We've tried it on
3 different systems here- all the same result every time.
Any ideas out there?
TIA,
Chris Bartram
