We have an LTO for our Windows servers and are able to back up over a TB
onto three tapes.

Is there an LTO solution available for the 3000 or is it just the 9000?

For my DLT-4's at 80GB, I can back up my system at about $40 a pop. If
I use an LTO, I can have about 8 backups of my system at 12.50 a pop.
Maybe even more with software compression.

(This assumes to use an Append feature to get more than one backup on a
tape.)

((This also assumes your dataspace keeps a similar size after conversion
from Turbo/Image.))
