Wayne, Easy ones!

1) when the console buffers fill up because it's waiting for i/o on the
console to be completed (the operator his space so no more output can come
to the console until Return is hit)

2) when the machine is speaking ENQ/ACK protocol, but the terminal isn't.
You need to use ^F (ACK) to keep the conversation moving.
