The Powervault 130T is an HVD device which can certainly be connected to
a 979. It has up to 30 slots and up to 4 DLT tape drives. You will need
some type of software to drive the library robot itself. Once the
tape(s) is (are) loaded in the drive(s), any backup product can be used.
Of course, if the backup goes beyond one tape, your backup software will
have to swap out the tapes.

It seems to be a nice little library, so you should try to use it.

Subject: [HP3000-L] More tape drives

What is needed to connect a Dell PowerVault 130T DLT Tape Library (maybe
made by Quantum) to a HP3000/979?

This machine is running M.P.E 6.0 pp2
It's already got a DLT7000 drive.

PowerVault is on it's way to FA, unless I can use it on our M.P.E box.
