SYSDIAG LOGTOOL can be used to extract console messages.

I typically use FCOPY FROM=myfile;TO=newfile;NEW;SUBSET="(OUTPUT)"
on the resulting LOGTOOL output to get a file with only the console
message lines (somewhat similar to the original LDEV 20 look). This
can bew viewed with PRINT or examined with EDITOR, /bin/grep, etc.
