...nasty problem deleted...

So far I haven't had the pleasure (?) of encountering this one, nor do I have
any workarounds to suggest, other than encouraging the lab to fix the bug.

Apache/iX 1.3.4 is presently on hold, waiting for a patch to be written to fix
a sigsetjmp()/siglongjmp() problem where the signal mask isn't being restored
properly. The lab already has fixed code for this, it's just never been
published as a POSIX libc patch. You might want to double-check with the lab
just to make sure that your problem doesn't also have an unpublished fix.

Apache/iX is also on hold waiting for another patch to be written to fix a
very nasty problem resulting in inappropriate errno values from a variety of
POSIX functions in a signal-driven BSD sockets environment. I suspect that
anybody doing anything with BSD sockets and POSIX signals (well, I guess that
probably covers just about all porters) will want to install this patch.
