Well, at some point (can't recall exactly when), we put in supposedly
intelligent defaults for all of these - so in the general case, you
shouldn't have to specify anything.
If you really don't have anything in your profile, then you will
probably need to add /usr/local/java/latest/bin to your PATH.
The rt.jar file (which replaced classes.zip) should be found
automatically as part of the built-in classpath, so you don't need to
add that. Your current working directory is also part of the built-in
classpath. If the files you're trying to execute are anywhere else,
then you would want to set the CLASSPATH to include that directory.
LD_LIBRARY_PATH is only used in the case where you are using JNI to
invoke native code. In that case, the LD_LIBRARY_PATH must point to the
directory where the XL containing the native code resides.
