> The National Weather Service (NWS) is recruiting a Computer Systems
> Analyst/ Programmer to fill a position at the National Operational
> Hydrologic Remote Sensing Center (NOHRSC) in Chanhassen, Minnesota
> (20 miles west of Minneapolis). This is a Civil Service position
> classified at the GS-12/13 level ($47,089-$72,794) depending on
> qualifications. The Center is responsible for generating
> operational snow cover products from ground-based, airborne, and
> satellite snow cover data sets used in water resources forecasting.
> The major duties of the incumbent are: (1) to maintain PC software
> (written in C) required to support real-time airborne gamma
> radiation detection, (2) to serve as PC and UNIX (HP-UX) systems
> administrator and maintain PC and UNIX (HP-UX) computer networks,
> (3) to develop applications software using C in a PC/UNIX
> environment to support geographic information systems, digital
> image processing systems, and hydrologic modeling systems, and (4)
> to serve as the Informix relational database management system
> administrator in UNIX (HP-UX) environment.

> areas: (1) PC- DOS/Microsoft Windows hardware systems and
