Sorry I meant that "Network O/S" to be the subject of the sentence, not
"HP3000".  Depending on inflexion, it can be taken either way...

It is the "NT Server" that takes all day to shut down.*

In contrast, our "Novell" server takes 3 minutes to come up and about 3
seconds to shut down.

* I assume my network person was speaking figuratively.  I also saw him in
front of our NT server all day.  It seems the needs of the few outweighed
the needs of the many.  (Our company president couldn't get his MS-Outlook
mail.)
