Thanks for answering so quickly!
 
I verified with the HPRC and you are correct.  FORK is unable to duplicate
some of the properties of the parent process when that process is working
with TURBOIMAGE.  The engineer submitted an SR on it but something tells me
it will not get resolved any time soon.  The HPCICOMMAND intrinsic works
fine.  I was trying to use some of the features of the shell but I can get
around that.
