It's a new day so I guess I can start on a fresh "!" quota :-) Like
Jeff, I got the SQLJXR2B patch off the ESC and into the PATCHXL group
before finding it wouldn't install--four hours of an otherwise lovely
late Fall Saturday wasted!!!! There, now I feel better(!)

The Response Center (phone version) researched this and confirmed that
there is a bad segment in the patch on the Web site. They can ship you
a tape with a good version--at least, I assume it will be good when I
see the tape. This patch by itself isn't all you probably want/need in
order to get Express 3 equivalent Image/SQL. The full set of patches to
order (credit to Gary Biggs for this recommendation) is: ATCJXY6A,
TIXJXW2A, SQLJXR2B, and QUEJXT40. The Response Centre confirmed that
these four patches comprise a set that they are bundling together in
most reactive patch tapes.

The trouble seems to be that the patches can be big (SQLJXR2B is about
24Mb), they get loaded onto the Web site from the lab in India, and the
patch installed onto the Web site is not normally loaded *back* to the
lab and applied to be sure it didn't lose something in the translation.
