Wharton County Junior College has a permanent position of Network Manager

Position: Network  Manager

General Description

Plans, installs, and maintains the college s networks. Reports to  the
Director of Computer Services and is responsible for the network
connectivity requirements between buildings and campuses, Internet
access, user training and the design, implementation, and maintenance of
local area networks.
Requirements

1.  Two years experience managing a Novell Netware network.  Experience
supporting remote sites is a plus.

2.  Associate degree in Business Data Processing or related field.

3.  Certification as a Novell Netware Engineer (CNE), or as a Microsoft
Systems Engineer
(MCSE).

4.  Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals,
or governmental regulations.

5.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure
manuals.

6.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
from constituents from the college community.

7.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
in mathematical diagram form and deal with several concrete and abstract
variables.
