John Joerger of the Long Beach Press-Telegram, a long-time HP3000-Ler
himself, was responsible for his newspaper (also an HP3000 shop) covering the
event. I scanned their resulting August 6 photo story into this JPEG file.

Although it might not be obvious from this photograph unless you were there,
the poster was beginning to come apart due to the increasingly stiff sea
breeze. The large number of people clustered up in the right-hand corner of
the poster (in line with the word, "Butt") in Hillary Sloss's photograph is
due to the fact that a large portion of the poster was beginning to come up
at the time the photograph was taken. It doesn't look like much from the air,
but it was an exciting time on the ground.
