Hi Everyone!
I have a question about FTP on MPE 5.5 (powerpatch 6). I have a job that
does an FTP file transfer every night. Sometimes the server will be down
and so I expect an error. However, occasionally it will just hang on the
open statement instead of timing out. This doesn't happen consistently. Of
course the timeout is what I want, not to hang a job in a job slot. I was
wondering if anyone else was having this problem? Is there a work around?
I thought maybe I could set the timeout but this command is not allowed
until after you connect to the server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim Manns
