Howdy,

Sure didn't back in 1989. We went round-n-round with HPRC about it.
It finally ended up with RC passing it over to the lab and that was the
last we heard. Sort of.......somewhere along the lines since then
we changed the OS and began to occasionally get messages
from the compiler saying "Warning: possible recursion detected".
Still does that upon the rare occasion and we are now on 5.0.

Don't remember the exact circumstance under which this occurs
but if the message exists I'd bet that recursion hasn't been
fixed/implimented/enhanced/looked-at/etc.

Good luck,
jt

Subject: Recursion Supported?

Does anyone know if COBOL II/iX supports recursion? I have need to
perform a paragraph recursively, but I can code around it if need
be. Thanks.

Oh, BTW this is COBOL II/iX HP31500A.04.14.
