Well, that will, but it's a little overkill.  Quick summary here:
(send commands to [log in to unmask])...
 
 SET HP3000-L  { MAIL | NOMAIL | DIGEST | INDEX }    subscription choices
               { NOACK | ACK }                       posting acknowledgement
               { NOREPRO | REPRO }                   get your own post back
               { SHORT | IETF | FULL | DUAL}         mail header options
 
First choice is the default.  Only one of each option is allowed.  And as
Gilles mentioned, QUERY will show what options are currently in effect.
