Release 6.0 & the 5.5 PP5 Bug

I have just  (12/30/1998) received the 6.0 installation package. I am not
able to ascertain from the documentation whether or not the DBUTIL erase
problem that occurs in 5.5 PP5 is a problem in 6.0 or not. I thought I heard
that 5.5 PP6 fixed the problem but that 6.0 does not contain that bug fix.
Can anyone confirm this?
If this is indeed the case is there a patch (reactive,  power or otherwise)
to fix the problem. Thanks.
