<<Sorry Joe. This is the non-moderated 3000 list. The moderated list is a
collection of messages from hp3000-l which are put together by Jeff Kell
(Thanks Jeff!!!) and are sent out when they reach a certain size or day of
the week (I'm not sure). It tends to eliminate some of the noise from this
list.

Ken,

I think you have combined the concepts of "moderated list" and "digest". One
my elect to receive the HP3000-L mail as "20-90" (by Joe Geiser's count)
messages a day or in a single message with the 20 to 90 messages. The content
is identical. They differ in frequency of delivery. Both are moderated by the
rules that Jeff has built into the Listserv software. The HP3000-L digest is
set to go out once a day. There may be some upper limit of number of lines
that will kick in, but I do not recall seeing it happen. I subscribe to
another list that uses the same software where as soon as the digest exceeds
500 lines, it goes out (the current message is completed). People who receive
the digest may want to receive smaller digests and more frequently. I would
not mind it myself.
