UTC Family:

We are quickly approaching one of the most busy times of the recruiting
season for the Admissions Office...the UTC Scholarship deadline. This date
is firmly set for February 1, 2004. In order for students to qualify for
Institutional Scholarships, first time freshman must submit all admissions
materials by February 1. This is a very exciting year because it will
include the new HOPE scholarship awards for Tennessee college freshman
students across the state.

The minimum requirement for Tennessee residents is a 3.0 high school grade
point average OR a 19 composite ACT (890 SAT). Students can be awarded up
to $4000 in lottery funds per year for up to 4 years. Families who wish to
apply for these Tennessee HOPE scholarship funds should complete the 2004
-2005 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) no later than the
priority deadline of May 1.
