Hello Rick & friends @ 3000-l

------------------------------------------------------------George Willis says--
Running under MPEix 5.5 PP4 on both HP3000's, I found that I can use FTP
to copy Image Datasets (priv mode filetype) from one host to another. My
database has 54 datasets and wasn't sure if I can use a generic MPUT
statement to address the datasets that have the same FCODE of -401.

The functionality for FTP to copy "PRIV" files from 3000 to 3000 is available in
the FTPFD57 5.5 General Release patch and on MPE/iX 6.0 base release:

Enhancement for PRIV code file transfer capability.

If you have 2 5.5 machines, it is recommended that you install the NSTFD57 5.5
General Release patch on both machines.

Yes, with this patch installed the FTP/iX MPUT & MGET will copy all of the
PRIV files in an entire database.

One word of caution...
  ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
FTP/iX is not copying a database, it does not know about Image... FTP/iX
is copying many individual PRIV files which is what your database may
consist of. FTP/iX does not know the files it copied are a dataset or a
root file and it does not insure the integrity of your database.
